Halimah Nakaayi is the 2019 World Champion in the 800m and bronze medalist at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Peruth Chemutai is an Olympic gold medalist in the women’s 3000m steeplechase at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Victor Kiplangat is a World marathon champion in 3, competing in the marathon at the World Athletics Championships. These athletes are part of Uganda’s 17-member team qualified for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
