SOROTI UNIVERSITY Of Science and Technology has announced that it will hold its Maiden Graduation Ceremony on 13th December 2025, marking a historic milestone in the young institution’s journey of academic growth and national service.
The ceremony, which will take place at the University’s main campus in Arapai, is expected to confer degrees upon the first cohort of students who have successfully completed their academic programmes since the institution admitted its pioneer class in 2019/2020 academic year.

The President of the Republic of Uganda is expected to be the guest of honour where degrees will be awarded to a total 118 students including one posthumous degree in Medicine and Surgery to the late Odukatum Polycarp Okiror.
The late Okiror passed away on August 16, 2025. He was a pioneer MBChB student of 2019/2020 intake.

About 53 students will graduate with degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, 42 students will be awarded degree of Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, and 22 students will be conferred with degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Electronics Engineering.
