TELEVISION,SOROTI CITY-Soroti City is buzzing with the launch of the first ever  AJON Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), now fully operational, blending tradition with modern convenience  at NOK-T Recreational Centre, along the Soroti-Mbale High way.

For the first time, lovers of Ajon—the cherished millet brew deeply rooted in Iteso culture—can now access it with ease, speed, and confidence.

According to the Managing Director Nok T Recreational Center, Esther Akwi, The Ajon ATM allows customers to walk in, punch in the quantity they need and the amount to be paid will automatically be displayed in ATM.

“The customer then walks out with freshly prepared, quality Ajon, all served under top-class hygiene standards,” Akwii explained.

The innovation marks a major shift, bringing Ajon from the backyard to the shelves, without losing its original millet taste and cultural identity.

It blends tradition with modern convenience, giving both locals and visitors a safe, clean, and reliable way to enjoy a drink that has long been part of community life.

The new innovation has been welcomed by Ajon patrons in Soroti City.

“This is amazing! you just walk in there, punch the quantity of the booze you need, and the amount of the money to be paid will be displayed. You deposit the money to the machine and it starts serving you just like the ATM at the Bank does”, exclaimed Yairo Okalany, a now regular patron here.

The Ajon ATM is not just a machine—it is a statement that culture can evolve without being erased.
