The heart of Soroti will throb to the rhythm of Africa on October 31, 2025, as the Daniel Okiror Band brings the Africa Safari Tour 2025 to Hyde Park, Soroti-Uganda. The concert, themed “Ateker Keere | Emuria Koliai”, promises to be more than music — it’s a homecoming of soul, culture, and purpose.
The tour, which began in Kenya, is a benefit concert series in support of the Beats of Hope Africa Foundation, an initiative working to build safe spaces for street children and vulnerable communities across Iteso and beyond.
Okiror, a proud son of the soil and a global ambassador of African sound, will take the stage with his multinational band — a tapestry of rhythm and roots weaving together traditional Iteso melodies with contemporary world music.
From the opening drumbeats to the final strum of the adungu, the night will celebrate not just art, but identity. “Music is our bridge,” Okiror told our scribe. “It reminds us that no matter how far we roam, Africa still beats within us.”
Workshops will run from 5:00–7:30 PM, followed by the grand concert from 8:00–10:45 PM. Tickets go for 10k (students), 25k (standard), and 50k (support) — a small price for an evening where music meets mission.
After Soroti, the tour continues to Kampala, the Netherlands, and finally to the Africa Expo 2026 in Utrecht.
For a city that hums with heritage, this is not just a concert — it’s a calling.
