Teso Family Show Returns Bigger — A Grand Celebration Of Culture, Unity, And Talent

The heartbeat of Iteso culture is set to thunder once again as the Teso Family Show 2025 Edition takes center stage on December 13th, 2025, at Sports View Hotel, Kireka.

What began humbly in 2011 — a dream conceived by Titus, Silver, and Peterson — has evolved into one of the most anticipated cultural festivals in Uganda. The show has become a beacon of pride for the Ateker people, celebrating the rhythm, resilience, and radiance of Teso heritage through music, dance, and unity.

This year’s edition promises to be nothing short of spectacular. It will feature a galaxy of stars including Apollo Wilson, Uncle Ben, Ibwalet Silva, DJ Robbie, Okello Peter Opus, JB Odele, Success Music, PS Nature TV, Queen Noreen, MC Rickxel, MC Rogers, DJ Sptitch, DJ Kalz, and DJ Maxmiles.

Patrons should expect culture at its best — Akogo Pure, Ajosi, traditional foods and attire, and a showcase of Teso’s creative spirit that continues to inspire generations.

Speaking ahead of the event, Peterson Otwakai, the Head of Media for the Teso Family Show, described this year’s edition as “a gathering of hearts, heritage, and hope.”

 “This show is more than entertainment; it’s a homecoming for every Ateker soul,” Otwakai said with pride. “We are calling upon all sons and daughters of Teso — wherever you are — to come and be part of this beautiful reunion. Let’s sing our songs, dance our dances, and tell our stories together. The strength of Teso lies in its unity.”

Otwakai added that the Teso Family Show has become an avenue for cultural preservation and youth mentorship.

 “Each year, we give the stage to emerging talent — musicians, poets, and dancers — so they can find their voice within their roots. We want our young people to know that Teso’s culture is not ancient history; it’s a living flame,” he said.

Tickets for the show are already on sale at 10,000/= (Ordinary), 20,000/= (VIP), and 500,000/= (Table of 6).
