SOROTI CITY-The spirit of the Ateker is set to rise again in a blaze of color, rhythm, and tradition as the Ateker Cultural Night returns for its 2nd Edition on December 20, 2025, at the Ateker Museum in Soroti City.

This year’s celebration promises a rich blend of music, dance, storytelling, art, and food, bringing together communities from across Teso and the greater Ateker region to celebrate their shared identity and heritage. Gates will open at 12 PM, ushering in a full day and night of entertainment and cultural exhibition.

Organizers say the event, themed “Celebrating Culture, Unity, and Identity,” aims to strengthen community pride and preserve indigenous traditions in a modern world.

“Ateker Cultural Night is not just a show — it’s a revival of our story, our pride, and our togetherness,” James Oluka, one of the event coordinators told this publication.

Guests will be treated to traditional performances, goat roasting, Alakanar, local cuisine, and interactive showcases from cultural groups and artists. The night will also feature live music and comedy from top Teso and Ugandan entertainers.

Tickets go for UGX 150,000 for a table of five, UGX 20,000 for VIPs, and UGX 5,000 for children.
