KOBUKU-NGORA-Ngora County Member of Parliament and NRM party flagbearer Juliet Achayo Lodou has pledged to continue serving her constituents with renewed energy and dedication if re-elected in the forthcoming elections.

Achayo made the commitment shortly after receiving her party flag from NRM national chairman and presidential candidate, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, during a ceremony held at the BKC grounds in Ngora District on November 4, 2025.

Addressing the media moments after the flag handover, Achayo expressed gratitude to the people of Ngora and NRM leadership for entrusting her once again with the mandate to represent the people of Ngora. She promised to remain steadfast in promoting economic empowerment, improved service delivery, and infrastructure development in her constituency.

“I am deeply humbled by the confidence my party and my people have placed in me,” Achayo said. “As I have always done, I will continue to focus on empowering households economically because only through empowerment can we permanently defeat poverty.”

Achayo explained that her previous term has been guided by the NRM’s vision of transforming communities through practical development initiatives. She said her next political term will build on the gains made so far, with an even stronger focus on helping her people engage in income-generating activities that can sustain their livelihoods.

“My greatest joy will be to see the people of Ngora rise out of poverty,” she noted. “We must work together through organized groups and community projects that are aligned with the NRM’s vision of social and economic transformation. I will not rest until our people can live better, more dignified lives.”

The legislator commended President Museveni for what she described as “visionary leadership” that continues to steer the country toward inclusive development. She praised his various government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga, which she said have positively impacted many Ugandans by promoting self-reliance and financial inclusion.

“President Museveni has shown us what true patriotism means,” Achayo remarked.

“His strategies are designed to uplift every Ugandan, and his leadership has given us the tools to fight poverty and empower our people. I am proud to be part of a movement that prioritizes development at all levels,” she emphasized.

Achayo also reaffirmed her commitment to improving public services in key sectors, including education, health, and infrastructure. She said her office will continue to advocate for quality schools, better healthcare facilities, and well-maintained roads that connect communities and enable trade.

“We must ensure that our children have access to good education, our mothers can receive quality healthcare, and our traders can move freely on reliable roads,” she said. “Development is not a privilege but a right, and I will continue to ensure that the people of Ngora benefit from government programs that touch their daily lives.”

The event at BKC grounds attracted thousands of NRM supporters who gathered to witness the official flag handover ceremony. Many expressed confidence in Achayo’s leadership, citing her track record of active engagement with the community and tangible development projects implemented during her current term.

Visibly energized by the massive turnout, Achayo said the overwhelming support she received from the people was proof of the strong bond between her and her constituents. “The trust I have from the ground is 100 per cent clear,” she declared confidently. “Together with our NRM candidates, we are ready to secure victory and continue working for the transformation of Ngora.”

As the campaigns intensify across the country, Achayo’s message of service, empowerment, and unity has resonated strongly with many voters in Ngora. Her pledge to fight poverty and advance the NRM’s development agenda underscores her determination to deliver practical solutions that uplift her people and drive the district toward a more prosperous future.
