Excitement Rocks Soroti City East Division As Rodney Mukula Launches Campaign For MP Seat

ALOET WARD, SOROTI CITY EAST DIVISION-Excitement surged through Soroti City East Division as Rodney Mukula’s campaign launch electrified the crowd with energy and enthusiasm. 

The event signaled a new era of progress and development for the region, as Mukula galvanized the audience with his vision for a modernized future. 

Supporters were inspired by his commitment to bringing positive change to the community and were eager to join forces in building a brighter tomorrow. 

The air was filled with anticipation and hope as Mukula’s campaign gained momentum, sparking a wave of optimism throughout Soroti City East Division.

Known for his campaign slogan “All for one, one for all”, Akongel stands for three pillars of economic empowerment, social service delivery and good governance.

Speaking during the manifesto launch at Aloet Central, Akongel pledged to connect power, establish more health centers, schools through working together with the government.

Valentine Goma, the female Councilor of Aloet Ward, appealed to the voters to unite and vote for Rodney Mukula.

Isaac Elakuna, the former speaker of the Soroti City Council, urged the voters to support Akongel due to his vast network connection which will ease lobbying for the City.

His speech was echoed and supported by John Junior Ekutelek, the chairman of the general purpose committee, and the MP aspirant for Soroti City East Division during the NRM Party primaries, urged the people of Soroti City East Division to rally behind and support Rodney Mukula.

His actions can be seen throughout the 25 wards in Soroti East where he fixed 21 boreholes for accessibility to clean water and empowered 16 groups

The launch was graced with several musicians and comedians, including Rodgavana and General Fitaman, entertaining the huge crowd showing massive support for Rodney Mukula’s candidature as the Member of Parliament for Soroti City East Division.

The Member of Parliament elections are slated to take place on January 15, 2025, according to the Electoral Commission’s elections roadmap.
