ALENGO PARISH-PALAM SUBCOUNTY-In Ngariam County, where the dust of politics rises with every footstep on the campaign trail, the team behind incumbent MP and Minister of State for Education and Sports(Sports), Hon Peter Ogwang, has brushed aside escalating allegations of voter bribery— branding them nothing more than the last kicks of a dying horse.
Jamesbond Odongo, the Minister’s Media Head, said the wild claims circulating on fringe online platforms were deliberately packaged to mislead the electorate and poison the political atmosphere. With measured firmness, he emphasized that Hon Ogwang’s camp remains rooted in issue-based politics, not smear campaigns.
“We are focused on service delivery, policies and the future—not lies,” Odongo stated, noting that the Alengo Parish Minister`s Coordinator, Betty Asio had been wrongfully dragged into the accusations without evidence.
“She wasn’t involved in any bribery as alleged. She is safe and sound and going about her duties of mobilizing support for Hon Peter Ogwang. She wasn’t involved in any fight with anyone. She even doesn’t own a bicycle contrary to claims that her bicycle was destroyed. Even the bicycle attached to the impugned article is FAKE as its downloaded from the internet”, Odongo explained.
Opponents Accused Of ‘Funeral Politics’
With opposition teams allegedly turning burials into platforms of slander, Odongo said their tactics revealed a chronic shortage of popular support and grassroots mobilization.
“If they are truly campaigning, I challenge them to share their daily campaign photos showing the places they have been campaigning from like Team Minister Ogwang does daily”, he said.
Instead of building roadmaps for development, he argued, they had slipped into the shadows of blackmail, whispering rumours instead of offering manifestos.
Ogwang’s Track Record Fuels Confidence
The Minister’s camp rests on a foundation of service delivery—schools and health facilities built and renovated, sports infrastructure strengthened, and classrooms equipped, seed capital given to all villages, goats given to women, churches supported with cash, cement and Ironsheets, bodabodas supported, among others. His reputation, carved through dedication and accessibility, has made him a pillar in Ngariam’s political arena.
Odongo pointed to the previous primaries as a testament: an overwhelming wave of support that washed away doubt and reaffirmed voters’ faith in Hon Ogwang.
January Verdict Expected to Reaffirm Support
As the countdown to January 15th, 2026 continues, the mood in Ngariam is one of anticipation—echoed by supporters who believe the Minister’s proven leadership will once again speak for itself at the ballot.
Odongo concluded with confidence that the electorate will not be swayed by fearmongers:
“The people of Ngariam County spoke before. They will speak again in January 15th 2026. Loudly. Proudly. And their voice is loud and clear.Hon Peter Ogwang is their choice.”
In a landscape where rhetoric often overshadows vision, Hon Peter Ogwang stands cast in brighter colours—resilient, popular, and poised for yet another commanding victory.
