KATAKWI TOWN COUNCIL-The political landscape in Katakwi Town Council has taken a lively turn as some of Teso sub-region’s most recognisable radio voices step off the airwaves and onto the campaign trail of Ngariam County MP and Minister of State for Education and Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang.

Known for shaping debate and stirring public conversation on local FM stations, the radio personalities have publicly aligned themselves with Ogwang, bringing with them an audience that cuts across age, class, and political affiliation.

Their entry signals a shift from passive commentary to active participation in the unfolding political contest.

Among those backing the minister are Olupot Gabriel, widely known as Omolodio from Serere; Enaaga, popularly called Enanga System from Kanyumu in Kumi District; and Epeduno Bernard from Kapir.

Collectively, they command loyal followings built over years of frank talk, community advocacy, and fearless engagement with local issues.

Political observers say the move underscores Ogwang’s growing appeal beyond traditional party structures, tapping instead into trusted grassroots influencers who speak the everyday language of the people.

By embracing familiar voices, the campaign is positioning itself as accessible, relatable, and firmly rooted in the realities of the Teso community.

As the campaign gathers momentum in Katakwi Town Council, the presence of these radio personalities is expected to energise rallies, amplify messaging, and help translate Ogwang’s development agenda into conversations that resonate in homes, trading centres, and on the airwaves across the sub-region.
