OCORIMONGIN TOWN BOARD-In Ocorimongin Town Board, Ngariam County, a new wave of youth activism is taking shape — one rooted not in protest, but in development, community organisation, and economic empowerment.

A growing circle of young people, inspired by the leadership of Hon. Peter Ogwang, State Minister for Education and Sports, has started redefining what political mobilisation looks like. Under the stewardship of youth leader Solomon Ocan, the group has positioned itself as a committed engine for grassroots transformation.

What stands out is not just their political support, but their deliberate shift toward self-reliance, with several youths initiating saving schemes and small income-generating ventures. Representatives from Ogwang’s team, including Joshua Aturo, have applauded this spirit, describing it as “a model for how young people can shape their own destiny.”

According to Aturo, the youths’ energy reflects a larger movement within Ngariam — one that blends political engagement with practical efforts to uplift households. “When young people start saving, organising and thinking about their economic future, the whole community wins,” he noted.

Another leader, Joseph Okwakol, urged the youth to embrace savings groups, saying it opens doors to broader support from leaders and development programmes already active in the area.

Ogwang’s team has been steadily strengthening ties with local youth clusters, and insiders say the Minister’s expected interaction with the ghetto youth of Ocorimongin will not only invigorate community morale but also reinforce his message of unity, hard work and development-driven politics.

With election season approaching, Ocorimongin’s youth appear determined to be more than spectators — they are positioning themselves as partners in the transformation of Ngariam County.
