HOIMA CITY, UGANDA – In a bid to enhance sports development in the region, Sports Minister Peter Ogwang held a crucial meeting with stakeholders in Hoima City to discuss the establishment of additional sports infrastructure ahead of AFCON 2027.

The meeting, aimed at gathering input and support for the project, comes after the government secured a whopping 13.2 billion shillings for the construction of a state-of-the-art multi-sport training facility in the city.

Minister Ogwang emphasized the importance of the facility, saying it will not only benefit Hoima City but also the entire region, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents.

The facility features top-notch amenities, including pitches, tracks, and training areas, making it an ideal venue for national and international sports events.
