ABOIBOI PARISH – Ngariam County MP and Minister of State for Education and Sports, Hon Peter Ogwang, has said that the introduction of biometric technology by the Electoral Commission will mark the end of ghost voting and multiple balloting in the constituency—a move he believes will restore voter confidence ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Addressing rallies in Onguok, Moruapesur, Africa, Cheele North, and Aboiboi villages in Getom Subcounty, Katakwi District, Ogwang stressed that the new verification machines will eliminate loopholes that have previously been blamed for electoral malpractice.

He explained that the system will require each voter to be authenticated through fingerprint or facial recognition before casting a ballot, adding that the days of impersonation and illegal voting are now “behind us.”
Ogwang urged residents to embrace the reforms and participate in what he called a more credible and verifiable election process.

He further rallied support for President Museveni, Vice President Jessica Alupo, and himself, saying that continued leadership would drive stability and development across Ngariam County.
