ANGOROM VILLAGE, GETOM SUBCOUNTY, KATAKWI DISTRICT —What has long been a distant hope for residents of  Getom Subcounty is edging closer to reality after government confirmed plans to construct a Health Centre III in the area.

The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Education and Sports and Ngariam County MP, Hon. Peter Ogwang, while addressing a huge gathering at Angorom Catholic Church.

Ogwang urged residents to remain patient, noting that government operates through structured systems that ultimately deliver lasting results.

He disclosed that Getom and Okore are currently the only sub counties in Ngariam County without Health Centre IIIs, a gap he said government has now prioritized to address.

Beyond health, Ogwang revealed that Angorom Community Primary School has  also officially been coded by the Ministry of Education and Sports, unlocking government funding for infrastructure development starting next financial year.

The legislator used the platform to reflect on his parliamentary record, stating that independent assessments rank him among the best-performing MPs nationally. He challenged constituents to verify his performance through parliamentary records, stressing that his leadership philosophy favours visible, community-changing projects over empty populism.
