County Declares Loyalty to Flag Bearer as Independents Face Cold Reception

As the dust settles on the recently concluded NRM party primaries, a firm political message has emerged from the heart of Ngariam County: “We are standing with Hon. Peter Ogwang and we’re not turning back.”

The NRM fraternity in Ngariam, in a spirited and united front, has reaffirmed unwavering support for Hon. Peter Ogwang, the incumbent Minister of State for Education and Sports (Sports) and elected NRM flag bearer for the 2026–2031 electoral cycle.

THE PEOPLE HAVE DECIDED AND THEY SHALL DEFEND THEIR CHOICE

Party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, youth and women’s leagues across the county have pledged to defend the decision made during the transparent and democratic primaries, calling on all members to reject “self-seeking independents” who failed to secure the party’s endorsement.

“Ngariam is not a marketplace for political experiments,” said one local NRM official. “We voted. We chose. We are moving forward not backward with sore losers.”

A MINISTER OF ACTION, NOT MERE WORDS

Hon. Peter Ogwang has been lauded as a pillar of service delivery, credited with spearheading sports reforms, education infrastructure support, and community development not just in Ngariam, but across the nation.

From constructing classrooms to mobilizing talent in rural sports, Ogwang is seen as more than a politician — he’s a movement in motion.

“The Minister doesn’t just talk development — he walks it, funds it, and brings it home,” said a youth leader in Obulengorok Parish.

“How can we even think of replacing him with candidates who couldn’t even win their own village?”

NRM VALUES: DISCIPLINE, UNITY, AND FOCUS

Ngariam County’s NRM camp has called for political maturity and ideological discipline, urging former contestants to rally behind the party’s official candidate rather than dilute the vote through “ego-driven” independent bids.

“Running as an independent after losing fair primaries is not bravery — it’s betrayal,” said a statement issued by the Einer Ka Aswam Media Team, Ogwang’s official campaign desk. “This is the season for loyalty, not sabotage.”

REJECT THE NOISE, VOTE THE VOICE

As final campaigns take shape ahead of the 2026 general elections, voters are being urged to focus on track record, trust, and tested leadership. For Ngariam, that name is Peter Ogwang — the man who has walked with the people from the grassroots to Cabinet.

The final call?

Let the ballot speak loyalty, not revenge. Let the people reward leadership, not entitlement. In Ngariam, the yellow flag flies high — and it carries the name of Hon. Peter Ogwang.
