Lira City, Uganda – CPAR Uganda Ltd, through its Media for Education & Development Hub, has officially announced a call for applications for its upcoming Youth Media Training Program in Lira City. The initiative aims to equip young Ugandans with practical media skills while empowering them to use storytelling for community development.
The three-month intensive training, followed by nine months of mentorship and support, will provide participants with hands-on experience in photography and videography, Enter-Educate content creation, community journalism, business skills, and NGO project management.
A total of 25 motivated youth, aged 18–25, will be selected for the program. Priority will be given to applicants from the Greater Northern Uganda sub-regions, including West Nile, Madi, Acholi, Lango, Teso, Karamoja, and Bukedi.
The program will run at the Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre in Lira City, starting October 2025. Interested applicants can apply via WhatsApp (+256 753 462 816), email (info@cparuganda.com), or the CPAR Uganda website (www.cparuganda.com). The application deadline is Friday, 10th October 2025.
Speaking about the program, CPAR Uganda emphasized that “your story matters, and your skills can change your community.”
The initiative is part of the Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre Human Development Project, implemented jointly by Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR) and CPAR Uganda Ltd.
This training presents a unique opportunity for youth to not only gain professional media skills but also to actively contribute to societal development through impactful storytelling.
