Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, has urged Ugandans to rally behind President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) as the party unveiled its 2026–2031 Manifesto.

While addressing the NRM party leaders who were gathered at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Anita described the manifesto as “a compact with Ugandans” and a testament to the party’s consistent record of delivery over the years.

“A manifesto is not only a document but a promissory note of what the NRM government will offer to the nation. This Manifesto is a pledge to continue delivering as we have always done,” she emphasized.

Among praised President Museveni’s visionary leadership, crediting him with transforming Uganda from a largely subsistence economy to middle-income status. She underscored that the next five years must focus on protecting the gains the country has achieved under NRM’s stewardship.

She pointed to several key milestones, including:

 • Expansion of healthcare and education services

 • Increased youth skilling and empowerment programs

 • Growth of agro-industrialization and industrial zones across the country

 • Enhanced financial inclusion through youth, gender, and innovation funds

 • Strengthened security and stability nationwide

The Speaker urged NRM leaders, flag bearers, and supporters to mobilize at every level to secure a decisive win for President Museveni in the forthcoming elections.

“Let us comb every village, every parish, every sub-county, every district, and every region, and preach the NRM gospel of protecting the gains of democratization, societal transformation, and development,” she declared.

Among concluded by reaffirming her loyalty to President Museveni’s leadership and pledging Parliament’s support in advancing the manifesto’s vision for Uganda’s continued transformation.
